ST. GREGORY THE GREAT
ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE AT GA
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10 AT 7:00 PM
Our Advent Penance Service for the St. Gregory the Great family will take place at Guardian Angels on Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00 pm. This communal service is an opportunity to join our sisters and brothers in asking for forgiveness and healing during this important time of year. All are invited to join with our faith community to reflect on our lives through Scripture readings and songs, followed by an examination of conscience, and ending with individual confessions with a priest.
You don’t need to memorize any words to receive Christ’s healing gift, though you are welcome to use the prayers set forth by the church if that makes you more comfortable. Most importantly, remember that this is a sacrament of healing – it is not meant to cause shame, but rather help you openly receive God’s sacramental grace.
Our God is a forgiving God. Please consider participating in this sacramental action.
