The Saint Gregory the Great Bereavement Ministers meet with families to plan funerals and/or are present on the day of the funerals to answer questions for families, help with the Mass, and provide a prayerful presence. This team also helps with planning the All Souls Day Masses each year. If you feel called to console the grieving and to provide practical support to people after the loss of a loved one, you would make a great volunteer for this team. If you would like to get involved, call Kendall Keiser, Director of Health Ministry 513-388-4184. Click Here to learn more about funeral planning (link to funeral planning page).
The Bereavement Hospitality team provides luncheons for families after funerals at IHM. Volunteers are needed to set up the luncheon on the day of the funeral—such as placing tablecloths, setting up food, decorating the room with family pictures or flowers, and cleaning up after. If you are looking for a more flexible time commitment, volunteers are also needed to drop off side dishes or desserts on the morning of the funeral. If you would like to get involved, call Mary Meyer 513-520-5957.
The Blood Pressure Ministry does screenings after weekend Masses. IHM BP Ministry is the second Sunday of the month after 9:30, 11:30, and 1:30 Masses. GA BP ministry is on the 3rd weekend of the month after all Masses. SJF BP ministry is on the 4th weekend of the month after both Masses. Volunteers needed for this ministry are nurses or individuals with a medical background. Flexible time commitment—help with as many or as few screenings as you are able! If you would like to get involved call Kendall Keiser, Director of Health Ministry, at 513-388-4184.

Very flexible time commitment—volunteer as much or as little time as you have available. If you would like to get involved call Kendall Keiser, Director of Health Ministry, at 513-388-4184.

This ministry knits and crochets shawls—each one begins with a prayer for the recipient and continues throughout the making of the shawl. When completed it is given to a parishioner undergoing an illness or hospitalization. The IHM group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 1:00 in the IHM Welcome Center. The GA group meets the second Tuesday at 10:00 from September to May in the gathering space at the rear of the church. Homebound crafters are also welcome and can be accommodated with pickup and delivery of shawls/supplies. If interested contact Margie Hoover (IHM) at 513-474-1258 or Erika Smith (GA) at 513-232-5629.
